Mid Summer Updates

A Message from Your Principal

Hey, MPE Families!

We hope you're enjoying a fun, relaxing summer filled with sunshine, family time, and memory-making! We especially want to extend a warm welcome to all of our new Gator families—we're so excited you'll be joining the Meadow Park community this school year!

Even though students are enjoying their summer break, there's lots happening behind the scenes at MPE. Our amazing summer crew has been hard at work cleaning classrooms, freshening up our campus, and getting everything ready to welcome students back. Meanwhile, our teachers have been attending professional learning opportunities to discover new ideas and engaging strategies that will make learning even more meaningful and fun this year.

We're also excited to welcome a few new staff members to our Gator family! We can't wait for you to meet them as we kick off another fantastic school year.

As always, if you need anything over the summer, our school office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please don't hesitate to stop by or give us a call.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, Gators! We can't wait to see everyone back on campus soon. It's going to be an amazing year!

Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Elek

Meet our New Assistant Principal

Mrs. Radaszewski

Hello, Meadow Park!

I am truly honored and excited to join the Meadow Park Elementary family as your new Assistant Principal!

I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University and later completed my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University.

My journey in education began in the elementary classroom, but I took a wonderful hiatus from teaching to spend more than a decade at home raising my three children. Once they were older, I happily returned to education as a third and fifth grade teacher, and I’ve never looked back.

Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of serving on leadership and administrative teams in both elementary and middle schools in Georgia before moving to Florida, where I’ve served as both a Dean and Assistant Principal at Port Charlotte High School.

While I have loved my time working with high school students, my heart has always been in elementary education, and I am excited to be back where my educational journey began.

Our family moved to Florida when my husband returned home to become the head wrestling coach at his alma mater, Lemon Bay High School, and we’ve loved calling Charlotte County home ever since.

I can’t wait to meet our students, families, and staff. I look forward to building strong relationships, supporting our incredible teachers, celebrating our students, and working together to make Meadow Park an amazing place to learn and grow.

Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!
Go Meadow Park!

Meet some New Staff Members

Art Teacher - Mrs. Haught

Hello! I’m excited to be the new art teacher at Meadow Park Elementary. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, starting in Clearwater, Florida, and spending most of my career in Greenville, South Carolina.
For the past couple of years, I taught kindergarten and ESE at Liberty Elementary, but I realized that teaching art is truly where my heart is. I’m so happy to be back in the art room and look forward to a fun, creative year with my students!

Music Teacher - Mr. Biffle

Hello MPES families! My name is Connor Biffle, or Mr. B for short. My wife and I recently moved to Florida after graduating from college this past spring. We also welcomed our first baby this May. This will be my first year in the classroom, and I will be teaching music to your young gators! Many life-long skills can be learned through music, such as creativity, responsibility, teamwork, confidence, and much more. It’s like learning a whole other language! I am very excited to get started and look forward to meeting parents and students very soon!

1st Grade Teacher - Ms. Neal

My name is Ms. Erika Neal and I am excited to join the first grade team here at Meadow Park. I am passionate about hands on learning and building partnerships with families. I have been in the field of education for 28 years and most recently taught kindergarten in Gilchrist County, Florida (picture lots of cows and watermelons!). I grew up in the state of Maine where I lived until 2022.  In my personal time, I enjoy being outside, going to festivals and concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
